Since youre a tech, Id imagine you could make a living in any state you choose. My field requires a lot of centralized manufacturing to be successful, so I can go pretty much anywhere that has manufacturing. A lot of places, but not everywhere.

I like the southeast, SC has low taxes and strong values that I believe in. Aside from Charleston its relatively free from yankee transplants too. And it has lots of manufacturing. Who knows maybe I could get on with BMW in Spartanburg some day.

I’ve looking into places. Surprisingly I’m making damn near the most I can in my position compared to other states

    Thats cool.

If I wasnt so sure that past medical issues would disqualify me from enlisting, my ass would be in Great Lakes the day after I graduate for Navy Bootcamp. The idea of being a sparky on board a carrier sounds great to me. Getting to work in a cool enviroment and have most of my living expenses paid for? Sign me up.

If the area I’m in ends up too populated I’ll move. Finding work isn’t too hard when your Certs are all up to date. I just really like being left alone. Not too far from civilization. But not surrounded by people. 20 acres of land is the dream.

We'll get em the next go round. Poor leadership and too many stupid mistakes lost it for us the 1st time.

Yes and I didn’t Deny them. I literally said I don’t want to continue the convo since it’ll just make More people pissed. They see the first line and assume it being a dick. They ignore the second part that pretty much shows the whole comment was sacastic in tone

Sarcastic tones done come off correctly in text I’ve found. I don’t believe he actually means it.

But referring to northerners as Yankees down south is the norm. It’s just part of the culture

The south had a lot of good leaders, just not enough of them. And too many costly mistakes. Prime example being that Stonewall Jackson was killed by his own troops on accident.

If the south wouldve persued the Union troops into DC after winning Bull Run instead of staying put, the outcome of the war likely wouldve been a lot different. And that was the very first battle.

Have you seriously never talked to a southerner before? Never fails in any conversation that at some point, the south will rise again sarcastically comes up. We all joke about it. None of us believe it.

Sarcasm doesnt work well when done on a ketboard. :)
