Dan has a reg cab 8’ bed tundra

 

Timing belts hold timing better than chains, that's why racing engines opt for one instead of a chain

 

Yeah I’d prefer an F150 over an early 2000’s Tundra. They’re basically the same thing since everything inside the first gen tundra has the Mumps.

 

I dont need 8' of bed space, nor like the looks of them. I could forsee putting camper shell on and using it to tow a small camper around.

 

I just don't want a fucking 3 valve Triton 5.4 and their cursed spark plugs

 

Yes but for a daily driver, its just a pita to look forward to every 100k.

 

You don’t wanna put a full sheet of plywood in the bed

It's 60k on the Z, but if you don't fuck around its like 45mins to do. I'm gonna change the chain and guide on the cruiser because I know it has slackened. The chains wear their pins and slacken which retards valve timing. My 3RZ before the head was rebuilt had lost 7 degrees of valve timing from 185k of driving. That's unacceptable when you value your power.

That's a pile too cause it makes no power, but at least it doesn't cost you a head job just to change the plugs

1gr is a good engine. But I still prefer how the 1st gens drive to the 2nds
