God help me. I’m stuck in this meeting with the RA’s and it’s Office level of cringe.

“Who knows what an RA is!?”

“Give me a yeah if you’re from Southern California!”

“If you’re baking Pizza, remove the cardboard! Do not bake it in the box!”

“Microwave your Mac and Cheese with water!”

“The Fire Blanket is to smother fire, not to wrap around you!

I moved into a house with a garage the second freshman year ended. No more 3am fire alarms. No more pothead RA.
Of course that's easier in middle of nowhere Texas. I'm sure renting a house would be insane there.

Edit: Oh and the cops hated it when I worked on vehicles myself. They'd tell me to go take it to a shop.

Seriously, on campus is the largest ripoff ever, especially when you live in a ghetto dorm

My ex roommate lives in a 800 square foot apartment with two bedrooms with six people. He pays $850 a month. That tiny apartment costs nearly $4,000 per month.

Hard to live off campus in a city as expensive as San Francisco.

After freshman year everyone still in student housing either had zero friends or was someone in one of the dry dorms.

I could just commute, it’s only an hour. But I don’t like sitting in traffic so I live here.

Was just the case around my school. For 2/3 the price of living in a dorm surrounded by annoyances, with limited room and limited parking... you could rent a 4 bedroom house, and live like a real human without hall monitors and eat real food

It’s actually cheaper to live on campus than elsewhere. Remember where I go to school. It’s the most expensive city in the United States leading San Jose and Manhattan.
