I guess I say Texas because; I'm a disabled veteran, and the State does more for us than any other state and my dad lives out there. I did live in Killeen for over 6 years, granted I was a lot younger (and my dad was in the Army during that time).

I also have an unused benefit of a VA home loan, since I bought my home that I have now with money I saved from my deployments.

Just easier to settle right in right away if I ever needed.

Austin has a ton of good places to eat, but it's become very liberal out there :frusty:

@BartMaster1234 when you sold parts on ebay, did you use the buy it now option, or let it go to auction?

Also, finding boxes is a sucky task.

I hate auctions. I always did Buy it Now with Free Shipping. The American Consumer is an impatient bunch.

Im trying to do USPS priority flat rate whenever I can. Doing free shipping is kind of a risk whenever its something that wont fit in a flat rate box.

Tell me about it; unless you cut your own, or order online ahead of time, it's difficult finding rectangular boxes for rifle scopes.

eBay has an option for that where it’ll calculate shipping for the buyer. Set up the weight and box dimensions and it will automatically charge the buyer.

One good thing about working in a building with a warehouse, never any shortage of boxes

USPS makes a flat rate box that will fit a rifle scope. It’s in the shape of a shoe box, I use it sometimes.

I work in a cardboard factory. Finding irregular shaped boxes is a pain as we only have a few select sizes laying around.

Ive been using that for the irregular sized stuff. Seems to be pretty accurate.

Right now Im just trying to sell off the stuff Ive removed from my own truck. Proving to be difficult as its the base model stuff that no one wants. I figure Ill relist stuff twice if it doesnt sell before I toss it.

Center seatbelt, rearview mirror sans map light, and the weird center cupholder thing are whats left. Surprisingly the non locking glovebox latch sold along with a set of the caps for the rear bolts for the seats. All for dirt cheap, but Id rather make $5 versus $0. :notsure: Offered it all here a few months back and 0 bites.

When I have mirrors they go fast, map light or not. Mirrors decompose over time to the point where you see black oxidation on the metal plating.

Well I had it up for $5 starting bid, no takers but 2 watchers. Relisted with a $10 buy it now so we'll see if anyone bites.

Car parts sell quick on eBay. I was converting the Merc to use the fancy AMG navigation stereo, but my wood burl radio trim didn't have the right switches punched out. The trim came for free with the radio and radio cage, which was only $15. I sold the trim for $175 and bought the right one for about the same price.

Im gonna hit the junkyards in probably a week or so. Seems to be a stall in the number of Toyotas being put on the yards here lately so I have to spread out my junkyard visits.

Doesn't have to be Toyotas. Parts of all sorts of cars are worth something. I sell Mercedes power window master switches for $100-$150 a pop after I refurb them. Only costs me about $20.

I've only been to one junkyard in Spokane since I've been back but shit do we have a lot of Yotas. Nothing newer than about 98 for trucks and SUVs. Maybe up to 05 or so for cars

I guess my issue is I just dont know what sells good and has a high turnover on Toyotas let alone other makes. Figuring this out as I go.
