I work from home 2x a week which really helps. Aside from odd errands and wheeling I don't really drive the Tacoma any more.

I drive the 250 or Lexus to work since both are way more comfortable and get better mileage than the taco. Not sure I want to move closer to work because my long term plan would be to figure out how I can work from home or run my own business and live in one of the smaller mountain towns instead

LOL. It ain't that bad yet.

yeah. I plan to just use a touch-up pen. Though my finish never really comes out smooth with it as its a brush on one.

I honestly haven't gotten the car buffed in a while. I may have to do that as the clear is starting to look pretty flat as I cant garage it.

Was it tough seeing your dad spend all that time commuting and not being home as much?

Nice...that's the dream. Yeah if I worked in LA I wouldn't want to be closer to work lol. That's why my dad drove so much, we lived in the suburbs for better schools and what not so he had to commute. Fortunately my job's in the outskirts of the city, I got lucky there.

Growing up it was just what we were used to I guess, I don't remember thinking much of it really. My mom was a stay at home mom so we got mostly all the parenting from her, my dad was pretty strictly the emotionally distant provider type. Very much how they were raised by my grandparents. Not a bad thing really but I know my dad regrets not being closer to us as kids now, he was so career driven and figured that was his primary role.

That mold is definitely getting shattered by me though, my wife would laugh in my face if I assumed she wanted to be a stay at home mom lol. Luckily she has her own biz so she'll have more ability to be at home though...daycare costs are fucking insane.

I thought about it. But I had a meeting in 10 mins with my head track coach about quitting. They cut my scholarship last year and I got a paid internship that conflicts.

Whats worse are the ones that stop in the middle of the halls to have a conversation. Ive shoved quite a few people during my internment at the public school system.

Driving to Oklahoma tomorrow to get the new transmission and some tires. Waiting on time to weld the bumper so this is how it will be registered. Once it's driving I'll clean it up and do a walk around video.

If the previous owners had just invested in a damn bumper for this truck life would've been so much more simple. They hit some hogs multiple times with the stock bumper. Front core support and the headlight mounting locations have seen better days.

So here I am bolting a painted board to the frame....
