Wife and I camped up in Kings Canyon/Sequoia National Park earlier this year, the redwoods are something you definitely have to see to believe how massive they truly are.

Toyota warranty pays somewhere north of 25 hrs (I don’t remember, I haven’t done one in a year). Toyota pays 90 an hour I believe.

We got married in a redwood forest (Big Basin National Park) and had to pick a colder time of year to avoid being among a ton of people. I imagine over Labor Day weekend it was pretty bad with the crowds. We were up at Lake Tahoe yesterday and the amount of people there was downright depressing. Couldn't walk 2 feet in any direction on the beach without shouldering up against someone.

Glad the redwoods are only 30-40mins from me, but during the summer there are tons of tourists out and about.

Should make it an attempt to take a dip in the garden of eden; little "beach" in the middle of the forest in Santa Cruz.

Hmm might have to hit you up on that location haha. My wife may know about it, she grew up in and around Santa Cruz. If we had the money that's where she would want to live in a heartbeat, but I would probably convince her to let us go somewhere further inland and less populated like the Boulder Creek area off the 17 highway. Near Big Basin actually.

I'm fortunate in that I'm familiar with all the hiking trails, etc in Santa Cruz; I'm not from there but my girlfriend went to UC Santa Cruz.

She lived on campus and so I'd drive out to her on my days off so we can explore the hikes around campus, and later everything else. I haven't camped out there since it's too close to home to bother.

Funny thing is, the couple I ran into at Prewitt Ridge on Wednesday were heading out to the Sequoia's the day after.

I need to find a new place to camp next week...

Lol let me rephrase; somewhere within 3 hours driving distance. Preferably somewhere where I won't have to send for help and have someone post a "HELP" thread for me days from now.

    Because prerunner.

(Don't have all my 4x4 conversion parts yet)

I've never been but I hear it's a cool place, a lot of trails varying from easy to difficult and camping in specific areas. But OHV parks like Hollister usually have designated campgrounds so you don't get the remote, dispersed camping experience that is far better in my opinion. But, if you're with a big group or doing a meetup sometimes the designated campgrounds are the better bet.

The camp sight isnt bad kinda small. Ive only been on the trails once. But I think there is plenty of other camping out aide of the ohv park
