The ends of those zip ties are bugging the shit out of me; nail clippers are great for this.

3rd gen are kinda funky looking i think, but that will probably pass someday as the 2nd gen look almost has ... but those have to be OVERLY modded to make any statement imo
and they are big way BIG!
    quieter would be good
However, i feel i would LOSE the one ness i have with the road

it would have the 'new truck smell' though
i guess it has that going for it!

i can see the hard plastics dislike, should be more carpeting?
my truck has few hard plastics i think, the dash is the only thing I wish was softer
but my door panels are soft and carpeted (less echo i guess) with some sort of rubber vinyl on the top and the headliner is great

My truck is 6'4" with the tent, and most parking garages in San Francisco are 6'6" or 6'8"

I reaaaally don't want to risk it with 2 to 4 inches left before I hit the ceiling. I've set the overheight alarm off with my antenna before.

7ft garages are my limit, lest I forcefully fold back my roof rack lights. Yes I've learned this the hard way.

I'm just going to remove the damn tent once I figure out a lift for the garage. Or until I get a DD.

I'm going to remove mine too, the tail gate swing out adds even more weight and this coming year I don't see myself using the tent enough to warrant having it on the truck all the time. Its a pain to remove/install myself but I'll manage for a handful of camping trips per year.

The tent has no effect on my truck's height but dropping 125lbs wont hurt

I'm planning to ditch the RTT life for next season. I wanna move to a lighter setup with a swag and a topper for lockable bed storage. The RTT is cool and comfortable and all but idk if the pros outweigh the cons for me...

    @eon_blue

This is a parking garage I used to use all the time in Downtown San Francisco when I’d show guests around or just BS downtown. This is how close my roof is to the ceiling without an RTT.

It’s only 6’5”, meaning with my tent I’d have 1 measly inch of clearance.

I set the over height alarm off in this picture with my antenna.

Yeah I've been that close before too lol. But 6'5 is crazy low for clearance. Going through a 7' garage I always end up ducking my head while driving through as if it'll make a difference
