do you know what i mean with the Tacoma floormats

when did they start making the uber cheaply made ones?
i thought i was going to get the exact same ones as my originals, except in a different color!

but NO, these NEW tacoma ones are going to wear very fast with no heavy rubber backing

Neither of my Tacomas had OEM floor mats. I had an AutoZone set in one and Husky mats in the other. Hell I have a nicer than OEM set of aftermarket ones in my cruiser.

This is a really really common as a platform ages out of relevance though. Toyota and most other companies contract out to cheaper manufacturers as demand drops, until they make the part NLA once demand has gone low enough. Our oil filters used to be made in Japan with synthetic media, now they're made in Thailand with regular paper media.

    Can't argue with that.

At this point in time, if I was getting a new truck it wouldn't be a Tacoma. They're so bad at being a truck for their size, I'd probably get an F150 or a RAM.

I like the tech. And they dont look terrible. Most on here look like dumpster fires cause people on here like to put on every mod under the sun.

I figure I can squeeze $12k or more out of my 04 in a private sale. By then should be pushing 100-110k on it. A 3rd gen optioned out in my tastes is around $25-$30k. So if I get best case scenario out of mine, id be looking at around a $250 monthly payment on a newer truck. Not bad.

I’d look into an F150 for a town truck, 2nd gen Tacoma or 1st gen tundra for a hunting truck

They aren't even aren't worth that much here, in a state where everything is overpriced.
