Yeah the one things full size trucks suck at is fitting on trails. When Miguel and I went to the Hollister Hills SVRA, there was a whole gang of new Tundras that only went on the easy small trails because they couldn't fit on the other ones while we could.

 

Why not just go with husky or weather tech?

 

Wait 5speed or just a j shift?

 

5 speed and a j shift case.

 

Its not even really that, a full sized would be fine for what I do.

Ah okay, that helps maybe 8k then. People love to hate the 4 banger, no one goes looking for one, they end up with one.

 

I'd say reliability but you can see what happened with the third gen.

 

Whatever I get wont be going on any trails. Or even getting built up in any sorta way. Maybe a hockey puck lift for looks. I wont be falling for whatever Im told on here again.

Idk, low mileage sells quick around here. I see $10-12k all the time. Doesnt matter what engine, as long as its a 5 speed 4x4 with around 100k on it.

 

Don't make me come over there and lop the legs off your horse.

I spent over a thousand dollars for 2" of lift. I dont go offroad, I only have the lift for looks. It was a financially stupid decision for a college kid. Couldve spent $200 for the 2" toytec spacer lift and been just as happy.

Beyond the cruiser I'll have zero reason to buy another Toyota. Past the second gen they all seem like the same average crap designed to make it till the end of a warranty. Fine for the folks who buy new and sell and don't mind taking that hit all the time, but I can't bring myself to be that perpetually irresponsible.

 

I'd say that's every car manufacturer now.

 

i probably will have to for the all weather mats in the winter or moderate wheeling out in the forest
not sure why i never got a different type of mat, was always happy with what i had because they were 100% heavy duty quality

 

Exactly, so I'll buy something cheaper than a Toyota. Can get used american shit for pennies on the Toyota dollar. If theyre all gonna be a PITA there's no reason to spend the Toyota used premium too.

The "problems" you hear about on here are being reported by people who nit pick over their truck and look for problems all because they get paranoid over what they read on here.

I loved the third gen my dad had for a month. Couldnt find anything I was unhappy with that couldnt be solved with another package.
