Congrats. You’ve fulfilled the stereotypical Californian truck stereotype.

Both are awesome, just not the big cities. Portland has a horrible homeless problem along with Seattle. Both are worth visiting. If you like pork, portland aka porklandia has some bomb places to eat. Its a sanctuary city, so there are tents on almost every street downtown. Seattle tried to get business to pay for the homeless and they take care of them pretty well. There were reports of homeless people flying into seattle to live in the camps. There is one on every freeway onramp. Its a bummer really, what are you gonna do with them, move them for someone else to deal with? Reabilitate them or train them and get them back in society? Do they want to do that? Send them to rehab? Do they want that? There is really no good answer I can think of. Other than dont live IN those cities. You can live outside of em and be surrounded by amazing country. What really boggles my
Mind is why seattle. Socal is warm most of the year haha

Well I could be offensive about the homeless but I'll pass. But reasons I like winter cold temperature, snow, ice the lot. Socal just seems boring to me plus I just hate being surrounded by people 24/7. And in socal you might get butt rapped by those weirdos or worse I run into tyler and his boiled steaks

Outside the city isn’t too bad. I love the ca deserts and mountains. Only thing that keeps me here mostly.

I think the Carr fire was from a flat tire somehow... Now sure about the Mendocino complex.

They usually don't focus too much on causes until they can divert resources away from fighting the fire to investigate.

Wasnt trying to be offensive, but I guess it can be seen as that. I went off on a tangent. Socal is fn packed. Its really its main downfall. But it has things to offer besides good weather. Wheeling year round is nice. But I do miss the mountains of norcal.

I wasn't saying you was lol I meant me. We could throw them in camps in the middle of nowhere and forget about them. But you have to admit"perfect weather" for wheeling is nice but after awhile it's boring. Add rain, snow or ice and it's challenging and fun again. Even on the same trail you drove on a thousand times

Agreed. I do like wheeling in the mtns. Its about 2 hours to a decent mtn w challengin terrain, and 5 hours n im in lone pine/bishop area and its legit! Its worth a trip to see it all. You dont have to move here lol. Zane is the one who is bummed. I hate Phoenix lol...no offense to those who dont

Next time burn the rubber out with a torch and throw in some ES poly bushings (You leave the outer sleeve in the LCA). Not only do you get to play with fire, the next time you replace/lube the bushings it's like a 20 minute procedure.

I probably can get a job in cali by requesting a transfer. I would literally have to study a whole new way of doing my job to please the environmentalist crazies. But I'd be in a nicer area for offroading but be surrounded by the people and I'm not a good neighbor.

We just use the dash of a parked vehicle in Phoenix. You can bake cookies on the dash in the summer.

Come to AZ, cheaper than Cali. Weather is great if you can handle the heat. We're close to a bunch of trails too. Plus it's only 6 hrs from Cali.

Sacto is good because you're like 45-60 minutes away from some good trails in the mtns. Endless FS roads/trails to drive.

I just wish it were easier to get to the East side of the Sierras in winter. Snow is one thing, but most of the time it's all the flatlanders and ski bunnies that give you the most trouble.

You generally make less, too. So it's kind of a wash.

California is the closest to the PNW if I decide to transfer. Which is where I want to be. I know I would set on fire in AZ lol

    I make decent monies :notsure:
It just depends on what kind of work you have experience with. Plus he could get a roomate and be fine if money was ever an issue. Cali isn't my favorite, too crowded and too many ridiculous laws.

I'm not going to say Cali sucks because there are some really nice spots out there. Probably some spots that I don't even know about because I've only been there a handful of times.

The city is just too crowded for me. Downtown PHX can get bad and I hate it.
