I've sold more cars in private sales that I can even remember. Not once, did I have someone come back or make contact after the sale. That comes with just being honest.

This. If we sell the 92 as a mechanic special, the buyer will receive a copy of the ticket the mechanic gave us listing all the issues it has. Although Im pretty sure the tech that wrote said list will end up buying it lol.

all i know is there is some awful gremlin rattle i have never heard before in 21+ years that mechanics told me it will be extremely hard to diagnose, since it does not happen all the time, and could get extremely expensive to diagnose! and i don't want to wait for whatever it is to finally break down

that is basically the only thing mechanically wrong

Exactly. Whoever buys it is looking to do one of two things.
    1. Buy, fix, and maintain it in as clean of condition as possible.
    2. Buy, fix, and build a rock crawler out of it.

If I have anything to say about it, it will not be going to some high school douche nozzle looking for a 'yota to go muddin' in.

I've sold a ton of cars via private sale and that's one thing I also did; if it was a Corvette, or Transam, Z28, etc. I wouldn't sell it to someone who seemed too young or immature to handle the vehicle.

Sounds unfair to some, but I'd hate to be the other party of an accident (as collateral damage) because someone was being childish and racing down city streets passed the speed limit, unable to handle said vehicle.

Call me selfish, but I think this too clean of a truck to be destroyed by kids dragging it through mud holes on the weekends. Id rather someone solid axle swap it and then its atleast being wheeled with a purpose.

$300 in parts and if they can fix it themselves, someone will get a super clean truck at a great price. Im really hoping the Technician that looked at it ends up buying it.

    no trade in. cash only

the weird rattle/vibration is not there lately now that the A/C is not running frequently
i will have to see how it handles this winter with the heater on, if the same thing occurs
wish i was more mechanically inclined to diagnose this myself,

i filled out the online kbb cash offer yesterday, out of curiosity at first, and then it spiraled into all of this mess

but there are definitely sorta major non-routine maintenance items looming on the horizon

He’s dealer probably adds 25% to every maintenance/repair he gets quoted just so they don’t have to deal with him.

Some places do that as a way of firing the customer.

i have not thought of that scenario for quick cash
would a pawn shop do something like that for me
    how would that work
i could then possibly have the ability to buy it back after a certain period of time + their interest?
    ....
my 18yr old nephew might need some legal help (lawyer fees) with the drug charges he is facing with some weird prescription shenanigans he got himself into
i don't want him going to jail for a couple years, which is the max he told me he is facing if the judge puts the hammer down on him

my sister is worried for him
she told me about the other characters that were also appearing before the judge after his two nights in jail
all his role was the guy that went into the drugstore to get the prescription stuff
and he does not want to snitch or give up his computer with eMails
something to that effect anyways, I had no idea he was involved in this sort of stuff!
