Definitely get the 1/2"...most things I've needed to use an impact on for my truck have needed a 1/2"...would just use an adapter if I found need for a 3/8.

I'm aiming to get the Milwaukee m18 fuel impact eventually....for now my cheap $50 HF impact hasnt let me down lol.

I've only really needed to use it on the cv axle nut and ubolts so far. Oh and the stake nut on the driveshaft for the carrier bearing.

I've got an angle grinder that's worked well for awhile from HF as well as their tumbler that I've used a shit ton for cleaning brass -

I have over 10-15 ammo cans full of clean, prepped (resized too) brass in .223/5.56 that sits in my storage unit.

That's several tens of thousands of pieces lol don't get me started on .338, .300wm, .308, and other calibers.

Being a hobbyist DIY'er I get most of my tools from there and haven't been let down yet by any of the bigger ones...impact wrench, driver, heavy duty drill, angle grinder, dremel, wrenches etc. Usually I find the small things from HF are the least reliable, like cheap flashlights and screwdrivers and stuff like that.

I would but the only people that I know that reload have their own huge collection of reloadables.

I have a lot of powder too; 5lb jugs cost well over $150 each and I'm sitting on over 50-75lbs because there's no one to sell it to locally; can't ship due to hazmat.

Don't get me started on flashlights

I've never owned an impact wrench, and the power tools I do have is a Craftsman Nextec set that I've had for over 5-6 years. Girlfriend got it for me and they've served me well but it's too light duty for my truck.

Keep it till you croak. Stuff is super valuable in Cali. What with the new ammo background check law

It is, and that's another reason why I never pushed to sell the stuff. It's sad though that more people aren't into reloading.

I haven't purchased ammo in many years though so that law doesn't apply to me.

I reload for all my calibers; I have thousands of rounds that are still boxed up/factory ammo that I owned before I got into reloading.

I goto home depo for all my stuff. For automotive I prefer 1/2 if you plan to do big bolts and stuff. And anything that says Fuel is good. Also Dan and Tyler the wrong people to ask. Ask @zero4 and @Blue92

.338LI (lapua improved) is obscure, and expensive. I shoot that the least.

When I'd teach shooting and reloading, .308 is the most fun -

I've got my notebooks at home to go with each barrel/rifle with my SD's and recipes all jotted down.

I still use an Aircat pneumatic impact most of the time. 1/2" tho.

My only electric gun is an M12 Fuel impact driver. Good for small stuff.

I can teach ya if you'd like.

500 casings will last you 3-5 times though depending on what kind they are, and how hot you load them.
