    Ehh. If I was going 4Runner I’d want something newer like a 4th or 5th Gen. Ideally I still want a Cayenne.

    I could've bought two of these with how much I've wasted on shitty parts store axles the past couple months. Oh well hopefully this is the end of that saga for awhile.

    Not brand new but Reman OEM through toyota. Can probably put this one in with my eyes closed at this point

    It was clicking pretty bad on turns before the boot tore otherwise I would've rebooted it. It was a used axle from a local TW member I got a couple years ago so I'm just going to use it as my core exchange and get some money back on this one

    I was curious about the Cayenne and the common repairs or DIY stuff for it and stumbled into the Cayenne DIY Bible. Looks like lots and lots and lots of repairs usually needed on these. But at least you can do them and save that money. Parts of course will be ridiculously priced. But enjoy :D

    Oh sweet! That makes me feel better, not that I should care, about it. I didn't know if you knew how unreliable they were. I wouldn't say that it's a horrible car. That's an opinion. Unreliable is likely a better adjective, at least imo because they are cool af looking

    Horrible in terms of reliability. The biggest issue with the Cayenne is timing chain failure. That’s an engine out job.

    VW likes to put the timing chain on the back of the engine.
