its a zinc phosphoric acid that cleans and stops flash rust on freshly blasted metal and will promote better adhesion for the primer in the directions

if you want your frame 100% free of rust, pull the frame off the truck. send it out to get acid dipped. have it galvanized then paint over the galvanized shit you can see and it'll outlast you and me

ball joint can be done in about 30 minutes flat if you get just the one side done tonight. vise grips should get the sheared bolts off.
