Yep, I would have liked a Duramax but I hate hate hate the GM interiors.

that is a nice color

 

Granite Crystal is sharp as hell; when 2 different friends of mine couldn't choose a color (one got a Durango, one got a Grand Cherokee), I chose that same Granite Crystal color for them.

One color that stood out recently is Slate Blue, also used by FCA. Online pictures do it no justice, have to see it in person. That color would look badass on a 1st gen.

 

That's what I'm running now, cheapo Pep Boys special...one boot gave up the ghost on the freeway when something knicked it...I went into Pep Boys (different location) and they didn't even ask me for my receipt or my phone number to verify I bought it from them, they just took it and handed me a new one lol.

 

my spare CV has a torn boot, guess I should go have it replaced under warranty

 

I should also mention I went in to swap it about 20 minutes before they were closed, so the kid behind the counter probably just didn't give AF.

Just got off the phone with Tony from LCE, and he states they are brand new FEQ axles. He runs FEQ axles on his Toyota Pick up with no issues to date; they wouldn't sell them if they wouldn't use it themselves.

Yay or nay for FEQ?

 

Nice, I have an FEQ axle on the passenger side and have been running it problem free for over a year.

If I had known that I would have just bought my driver's side one from LCE to begin with, good info

I think FEQ makes a good aftermarket axle in my experience

 

I replaced it with one from Advanced and it's still in that box so I doubt they'd give me trouble

 

not a bad price considering the parts house remans were $95 last time I checked

 

Well I ordered some Redline CV2 grease and I can get those hubs assembled if you'd like. That'll soften the blow to my wallet since I'll be ordering the cv axles from LCE.

I need to quit buying shit.

 

Sure, I am thinking I would like spares for my big trip since I'll be running geared and locked in the front

 

Im thinking of saving 10k cash then trading in my taco as well.
