yes, i did not have time to do it before the weather turned and I have to get on the road the rest of the week with it

i will have to read the instructions again, i did not see anything about applying to non-painted metal

It's not that you can't apply it to bare metal, it's that nothing will adhere to it well even after cleaned, maybe, I dunno. Something like that

That doesn't mean I like it. There's a company that went to Overland Expo last year that does it to USDM cruisers too 60/80/100 series and it's still too much shit stuffed in too small of a bag. You don't need all of that ever

I don't think we really need to worry about it where we live unless you live in a mountain town where they use road chemicals, or near the beach. Ive thought about doing it to my truck just because people talk about it so much on here but really I don't think we have to worry about it.

The few tiny rust spots I've found I've just sanded off and hit with new paint

Thats the approach my dad is gonna take with his new frame. Central NC doesnt rust vehicles out. Its just that my truck was from up north and was coated by Toyota. Gotta keep that CRC wet or else it will dry up and let water in behind it. Frame warranty is up on wednesday actually. Gonna give it another good look over tomorrow after work.

On the bright side, you'll become really good at this shit lol

You'll be able to come back and answer all types of threads that pop up every other day regarding frame rust.

it's not 'bare' there is quite a bit of the after blast wiped on it to turn it silvery

one thing i did read on the instructions is that it can soften any undercoating applied from dealer or other, etc.

i was 'careful' not to spray FF inside because i still need to clean it somehow (magnet, vacuum, airhose) and do a couple coats of internal frame coating to seal it all up

IMO it was a mistake to leave it unpainted. You’ll never get it clean enough again to paint it properly in the future.

i was led to believe it washes off somewhat easy, that is why some apply twice yearly :notsure:

It may wash off easily but you won't be able to easily paint anything it's been on, I'm guessing. But we're arguing hypotheticals that don't matter. We're at where we're at and need a plan of attack now.
