This is an e-locker axle housing with an 8.0” e-locker third. I’m waiting for the guy’s truck to get back from the fab shop before I swap for his 4.88 gearset.

I don’t trust those 8.4” axle shafts. They’ll work, but they’re a tad longer than the correct 8.0” axle shafts it’s supposed to utilize.

    you mean shorter?

ive seen pics of the very stub of the splines stripped on them

i dont believe your 2.7 or 31s would make enough stress to do that though

No, they’re longer. The 8.0” ABS axle shafts are shorter than the 8.4” ABS axle shafts.

They’re too long. It’s possible they will bind on the spider gears.

yeah mine's already faded pretty good and the material is getting 'crunchy' for lack of a better word.

Also, a rat chewed through the bottom of it in our shed so I need to replace it sometime lol.

If/when I get another I'll probably get the tan one. I'm excited for the swing out tail gate in part because I'll finally be able to properly mount the Trasharoo...wrapping it around the tailgate causes it to put dents in the metal if you have anything heavy in it.

Yeah my last one got brittle. I want to try the Howling Moon or Blue Ridge next to see if they hold up better. I dig the HM but the logo is huge.
