1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

You know I would, and it's prolly the only thing I'd consider this selling mine for

 

I've never had issues finding them. I bet overall of I4 and V6 tacos combined there's more MT especially since it was the default config for all reg cab models and 4 cyl models that weren't dcab. They were cheaper too. More V6s have autos but you can still find manuals. I wheel with more manual v6 people than auto and some of them bought their trucks new long ago while others bought the first thing they came across before they were into it. Only one actually chose an auto

 

I loved first 2 season of Narcos. I only saw those 2 but it was great

 

Most other guys I know with 1st gens 4x4s (that aren't double cabs) have manuals. But manuals are harder to find here generally only because Prerunners are far more common and only came with autos.

 

The second season was the latest one, season 3 (if they're doing one...I'm sure they will) should be out next year

 

Are pre runners all auto? I feel like I've seen manual prerunners, maybe it's a 4cyl vs v6 distinction.

 

Yeah for me it's not a specific factor I look for in the vehicle. If it has it, cool. If not and everything else is right, especially price, I'm all over it

Yep in 1st gens they are. Can only get a manual 1st gen with the 5 lug or 4x4s.

2nd gens had manual Prerunners though

Fucking SUCKS to have been in that kind of accident; owner listing the transmission and t-case as fucked...and that's what I considered checking out.

I stay away from the auto behind a 4cyl, the a340 is extremely inefficient unless you look at it as a heater instead of a trans haha. Even behind the V6 it's pretty power hungry. These trucks just don't have the power to spare so I only go for manuals.

 

That first pic was so deceiving!?!

 

I'm curious who they'll focus it on...season 1 being Colombia and Pablo Escobar and season two being the rise of the Mexican Guadalajara Cartel...Season 3 might be El Chapo if they keep it focused on central America. Or maybe they'll change it up and do something over in Asia or the Middle East with the poppy trade
