Central Coast here; I'd have to drive 3 hours East, or a good 5 hours North to hit some snow.

I remember when my buddies and I went to Clear Lake to go shooting some long range, one of their trucks slid on some mud/ice and ran into a tree lol

    I owned a Frontier 4x4 then.

I remember when I said that back when I started on TW and wheeling...not that I really do any crazy rock crawling even now but I think once you get 4wd and get the itch for the tougher trails and how capable it makes your truck, you'll find some rocks to play on lol

Looking through some old threads of mine I used to say I only wanted 1" lift and 31s, minimal armor...that didn't exactly pan out haha

And what's funny is I had a Frontier that had a 1" lift, and was a 4x4 but I never did anything more than throw it in the mud.

For some reason with the Taco, I feel "safer" for a lack of better word.

Oof mud is something I avoid even now and always will. I did one trip in the pouring rain to a local OHV park and while it was fun, that mud was a bitch. Got inside my clutch too and made it slip pretty bad for a few days afterward

    Lol funny you say that.

I had a "noise" (was not the throw out bearing) on my Frontier that when it was cold, it would do a sort of "whirrrrrrrrrrrrrr" anytime you pressed in the clutch.

After a few minutes of warming up, it'd go away.

Only happened after it rained so bad, trees fell down and blocked off some roads in our town. I took advantage of the situation and took flooded roads and even went into some mud pits.

I'd say I was stupid back then...but this was only 2 years ago

Tad of a gray area. The design for my harness is so common it would be hard to patent or trademark it. It’s like trying to trademark a 555 timer circuit, you can design it differently and uniquely; however it’s still the same 555 timer circuit at heart.

That being said you can patent or trademark anything done remotely differently.

I never removed the transfer case. I left it on the transmission.

If I had to do my swap again I’d take it off. The fact that it was so rear heavy made it difficult to draw the dowel pins from the bellhousing to the engine.

    I’d replace it anyway.
