Makes sense, we had so many years of bad drought leading up to last year when it finally rained/snowed a bunch...so as a result we have a ton of dead trees from the drought and a ton of fresh growth that then dies off in the summer from the heat. Come fire season in Sept/Oct when the humidity is near 0% and the winds pick up to almost 80mph on some occasions, all that stuff is practically begging to be burned

I can see it now, we're all out cutting down dead trees and Miguel is over there cutting down a giant 400 year old Sequoia or Redwood lol. Or trying to I should say...would probably take a month to do that by hand.

Then volunteer environmentalists will protest, shut it down, and outlaw it.

So the turnaround time for my Kings is going to be about 4 or 5 days....don't think I can have my truck on jack stands for that long so I'm going to try and put the 5100s/881s back on and hope I don't rub like crazy on the street for a few days. I don't think they were that different than the ride height I have my Kings at but I don't really remember...plus I had 31s back then. Guess we'll see

Door handle replaced; super easy and I was able to replace 3 of those door panel tabs that had broken from when I replaced my speakers.

Oh and finally getting a new damn phone today.

Just between the S10 and Note 10; the S10 is a bit more appealing due to it being a bit smaller. I hate getting new phones...

wut...environmentalists haven't had anything to do with it as far as I know, and these fires/power company responsibility has been the only thing on the news around here for weeks now.

The primary reason is the old, outdated and desperately in-need-of-repair power equipment throughout the state that PG&E and Edison have neglected for so long because they figured it to be cheaper to replace things as needed, rather than doing it preventatively. Now they are realizing that was a huge mistake after last year's fires when they got sued into oblivion (PG&E did anyway). So they are finally going to start replacing things but expect it will take up to a decade to do so, in the meantime we have power outages to look forward to every year come fire season until it's done.

just what i heard is all, i don't have any clue about it
poor forest management cleaning the dead stuff up
    environmentalists not wanting forest disturbed,etc

the existing equipment needed room free of dead stuff in a certain radius and it was a no-go

I think I know what you're referring to now, from earlier this year...but we should probably leave it there since I don't see any way of talking about that in particular without it getting political lol.
