i am hoping that one of you may know or have experienced the weird gremlin vibe i had most of the summer that is now gone as far as i can tell in the winter

 

the professionals wanted over $100 to even try & attempt to diagnose the problem
and i don't go for that bs at all
and this sort of problem is definitely NOT in my amateur wheelhouse

 

You don’t want to pay a shop to do something you don’t feel comfortable with? Wut

 

i do not wish to pay for a diagnosis, just repair upon finding the problem

some shops will do this and others do not apparently
some charge diagnostic fee and THEN mark it off repair bill if you have them repair it
some shops will double charge on the whole of it

 

i saw a fairly nice old S10 on the road here yesterday, body panels were not all perforated like a lot of trucks of this age around here without the TLC winter care

 

they are the best RIGHT OUT OF THE FREEZER

 

Gonna have to try that sometime, sounds good. Haven't had a nutty buddy in a long time

Real quick since you're here, is the drain plug washer for the tranny and for the transfer case interchangeable in these automatic 4x4 tacos?

 

If they're both 24mm head plugs then sure, but I was under the impression that the plug is smaller on the auto
