I was telling Empty_Lord to send me a sample of that 20k stuff so I can run it in the lab! It'd be an absolute pleasure for me :D

    I have mods
I don't think I'll ever take the Tacoma out over 10k since it sees some hard use offroad in sometimes very dusty conditions. Between 9k and 10k is around 1.5 times OCI per year and I'm good with that. Fucking skid plates weigh a ton!

Oh yeah, yours sees a different life than mine does. It's a work truck for me as well as DD but light work. In your scenario I'm sure I'd be doing it similar as you

Drive style affects oil life way more than anything. Off-roading, lots of
Stop and go. Vs highway driving. Corolla is all highway. Black stone said I could probably get 25k out of 1 oil change on the corolla. But 20k is enough for me. Change it about every 3-4 months at 20k

My cruiser from 1993 even recommends a 5k oci on dino juice so I'd hope it's only gotten better since then. Been almost 30 years

When corn juice gets in the oil it breaks it down fast. And it makes sense that it would squirt too much corn juice while the flex fuel learns what the fuck it's doing for the mixture.

Heavy use on the manual is 2500 oci. At 100 bucks an oil change I’d hate that

I'm surprised we haven't figured out the fuel dilution issue.

Modern diesels suffer as well, when the truck goes into regen to burn the soot out of the DPF it adds extra fuel that gets into the oil
