No, I’m in Oakland often. I don’t feel unsafe there unless I’m on International Ave. and 98th Avenue.

I used to frequent that thread a couple years ago, but back then there were some members in there that would get way too heated over team rivalries so I stopped contributing. I dunno if they're still around though, I know at least one got perma banned lol.

I don't watch hockey as religiously as I used to a few years ago since we dropped cable, still play in a local beer league every week though.

 

That's because hockey is too classy for gangsters and hippies

although that kind of sums up the LA area too

 

I don’t really care for hockey, that being said I’ve never watched or played it before.

 

I'm just stirring shit, it's just not as big on the west coast like it is up north or on the east coast. Been growing in popularity since the 90s though and especially in recent years

 

Warriors have been trash lately, I was watching the last game the other day and they blew almost a 10 point lead in the last 5 minutes. I couldn’t believe it.

 

yeah LA is full of people that glom onto the "new thing" or trend, when the Kings actually had a good few years' run in 2012 - 2014 it drew in a crap ton of those people unfortunately

 

I was a fan of LA Kings as a kid when they had Gretzky. Not so much a hockey fan after that. I'll go the Sharks game once in a while but not as a fan. Just for the entertainment.

 

Considering it took me 1 hour to travel 20 miles yesterday, yes.

Hockey is a fun sport to watch even if you're not invested in the teams, just have to understand the game. I could never get into watching basketball, or football for that matter. Basketball is just too boring to me to watch, and football I won't get into but I'll just say the league, players and game in general is just plain ridiculous lol. Too many whistles/stoppages, commercials, absurdity...

 

I do like to perv out and watch women's college volleyball and women's beach volleyball.

 

I do wish we had what the Brazilian's have for TV entertainment. It's questionable entertainment but it looks sexy as hell.

No I was going to my brother in laws place just to hang out last night. Only 35 miles away haha. Usually a 30 minute trip down I-40, took an hour and a half almost.
