In the photo world at least it's always been a competition between the Germans and the Japanese for the best glass/lenses, Zeiss and Leica probably being the top two biggest German companies then of course Nikon/Canon in Japan.

huh, I didn't realize Nikon made rifle scopes too...cool. I guess if you're going to make camera lenses then rifle scopes really aren't all that different lol

j/k, sort of...they're cute little fuckers but they're one of those breeds that I don't believe nature intended to survive. Too many inherent health problems that usually lead to their demise

Eh there's countless breeds of every animal we created as humans. Dogs and cats as an entirety were created by us and not intended by nature. There are fish we altered their genes so they glow under a blacklight. Long as the animals get a good hoe that's all that matters to me

side note: between the pug we had prior and our $3.5k purebred bought English bulldog my dad bought my mom; the bulldog had more issues
