    Ok so @Wulf @eon_blue @what road @Area51Runner @Das it mang @xtremewlr

You guys get to throw in some ideas for furnishing my place.

I got a new knife/block set (black block, stainless steel knives). I'm going to get plain dishes but what about the garbage can o_O

I want a movie rack too, to throw in my 4k collection (growing non stop). Based on the greys/whites in the whole place, I'm thinking a black rack for contrast...but glass? No glass? Links?

Also plan on a coffee table and rug in the living room but until I get a sectional, those items will wait.

Also...computer in the bedroom instead of the living room due to space?

Here's the living room again; indecisive about a dining table or not since it's only me and maybe 1 other person at any given time as a visitor -

I let my wife make all the decisions about that stuff for our place because I suck at it, haha. You should've seen my bachelor pad when we met, it was pretty stereotypical of a single guy with no interior design awareness lol.

We have these two 13g kitchen garbage/recycle cans that are identical and look like tall shiny cylinders with a foot activated lid, trash cans are something I never really thought about needing to look nice but they really do help the kitchen look better when they don't stand out as 'trash cans' really.

As for the 4k collection I don't know really...I only stream stuff lol.

It's just something 2 different girls mentioned, including Rachelle. Be nice to just scroll through, grab one, and pop it in. The movie that is lol

Garbage can I always get those foot activated ones...just wondering if black or steel due to the color scheme.

ughhh fire alarms are going off in the building again, they do these stupid tests every week it seems like for years. And then they get mad when none of us take them seriously and just stay at our desks lol.

we have the brushed steel looking ones but black would probably go well with that flooring you have

Computer in the dining or living area so you can watch TV when surfing or gaming.

I stream all my shit too so don;t have anything for the 4k collection. Check Amazon for that shit.

And don't buy new unless you really want new. Hit up craigslist for whatever you can. You can find some nice stuff there for cheap. Dining table is nice just to be able to throw shit on it. But it also becomes another place that tends to collect shit if you don't keep it clean.

if we were supposed to be soaring through the sky, we'd have wings. screw that.

is there such thing as a quake alarm? My quake alarm is the sound of a semi truck headed toward the building, cause that's how I remember the Northridge quake in '94 sounding like. To this day semi's passing by close to the building get my heart rate going

Very good point on the dining table.

The sectional I'll buy new just cause it won't break the bank at under $1k.

Other items are too inexpensive to put a huge dent; what will cost the most is a computer desk, sectional, and some dressers.

agreed, my wife gets a lot of our furniture and stuff from second hand stores...99% of the time the stuff in those stores is junk, but every now and then you can find something really cool, unique or valuable that someone else just didn't want anymore. We have an old craftsman house so older wooden looking stuff looks good in it.

Though she picked up a dresser off the side of the road once that she loved and I hate the thing...it's falling apart and you can't use half the drawers because they're broken lol. One of these days I want to fix it cause she's intent on keeping it but apparently it's a valuable dresser so it has to be "restored" not just fixed.
