I've never had this concern, everyone cites it as a worry but I drove around with no bumper and no grille for a summer and never had an issue. Been on trails with hybrid bumpers and not had an issue. It seems like a vulnurable sport but really it pretty well out of the way for most flying things, it's just non moving obstacles like rocks that'll get ya

It's crazy though; I'm helping them yet I'm the one that's short handed 1 whole person until we hire another finance manager.

I hope someday that my stock radiator gets popped.

I got close last fall when I send a log through my bumper

They're pretty stout, the aluminum core is more fragile and less abrasion resistant than the plastic tanks. Pretty easy to put a hole in the core just with a bad backswing on a ratchet, not so with the tanks.

Tell that to my stock rad from 1996 and my other stock rad from 1993, and once more to my stock rad from 1987 (that I changed out of fear even though it was fine)

Probably going to change both the 1996 and the 1993 rads this winter. The cruiser needs a whole cooling system overhaul for good measure. Want to change the heater valve and remove the plastic tees and the lines and all other rear heater associated crap. And the 1996 I just think I should do while I've got it apart for the timing belt, coolant looks gross anyway

Good news on that front is my coolant is fine. Just need to swap out those damned tension clamps. Re-used them and the lower has been slow leaking (pink crusty). Had gunny send me 4 with my last order. The new ones definitely are not worn like the old, can definitely feel the difference when compressing. Figure I might as well do a flush as well since I didn't last time.

Do you keep a list? You guys bring up topics and remind me to check my lists. I just store em in the trucks or cars. Little notepads from my last job. As I work on the trucks or order parts I write down what else I see that might need to be done. The rads have been on my lists for a while, minus the Z one which I did. Been keeping my eye on the cruiser rad, which has started to have some weird tank plastic discoloration, so does the heater valve. I'll get a pic of that sometime as I think it might be a good indicator of brittleness.

    Also Z radiator porn...

I don't like the motorad caps and stats VatoZone has. Poorly constructed and many are missing jiggle valves. Just buy a fucking OEM one, they're $7.
