Today has been fun, good powdery snow and some horsepower makes for solid fun. Half tempted to take the Z for a slide but I think I'll be happy enough with getting the cruiser fully sideways.

Spokane barely got shit, only 1.5 inches. Where I live up a little ways in altitude we got 5. They don't plow or even prep the roads back up here, which I love. Keeps the old folks in.

    Hurt a customers feelings but his brother thought it was hilarious;

Me "what kind of truck is it you're trading in?..Lariat?..XLT?.."

Him "Idk I just fucking drive it"

Brother "Do you even know wtf you're buying? You don't even know what you're driving" with a laugh.

Kept going on cause he was nervous, happy, etc.

Me "Kind of like the first time you had sex right?..were you nervous?"

Him and brother "yeah he probably cant get it up etc etc"

Me "well I understand why you were nervous, you were by yourself"

    Details?

I've been wanting to refrain from going with an aftermarket bumper just to install a winch.

So my truck just turned over 210k. I got it at 180k. I haven't replaced the LBJ's yet but I've done a full OEM lift. I take it in for basic maintenance to an independent shop and every time I'm in I ask them to test the LBJ's for me. They have told me each time they're "rock solid" to use the tech's words. But, I've still seen what can happen if they fail. I 100% trust this shop and also don't want to fork out unnecessary money to have them replaced. I installed my OME list myself and have done normal basic stuff but doing the LBJ's myself just scares me because if I mess it up it can be a major failure. Should I do them even though they seem fine and there is no play?

Yes. They are super easy and don't take much time. They are cheap insurance considering what happens when they fail.

They were super cool although extremely vulgar

Trust me, I wouldn't have said something like that if they didn't already overstep that boundary.

Mirroring people's actions/personalities helps to make them feel comfortable. We do it naturally when we socialize with others ;)

Finally got to take my new Japanese Arisaka to the range today. This will definetly become one of my favorite shooting guns. For a full power rifle round it had very little recoil, way more manageable than my German stuff. Only issue I had was the extractor not picking up the spent casings, had a few stuck in the chamber. Probably just needs a new claw. Sights were somehow dead on at 100. Just a wee low at 200 as expected. Heres 5 at 200 yards. IMG_20191215_151343053_HDR.jpg
I fired the 4 to the left first. Last shot decided it didnt want to go with the others haha.

Go OEM. I bought mine from Camelback Toyota online. I ordered bolts, but the LBJ's came with bolts, so now I have extras...

thanks for this. Not the cheapest of parts but not bad. How bad is it to do these yourself? I might do them when I do my front brakes.

They are super easy. 6 bolts/nuts once the wheels are off. Tie rod nut, LBJ nut and 4 mounting bolts. A puller helps to separate ball joint and tie rod, but not required.
