I gave up on all of that and decided I was grounded with a limited amount of choices. @Blue92 and I'm sure @eon_blue can add their 2 bits. I'm not the best on this but wouldn't going with 4.25" push it out a bit further which would bring it in even more toward the pinch weld/liner?

The 2nd/3rd Gen off wheels are horrible at 5.25" BS.

I dont think a quarter inch of stick out would be bad. May look pretty good actually.

I don't know squat about wheel backspacing to be honest. Never bothered to measure mine lol. PO installed these wheels. They rubbed even with 31s on the untrimmed pinch weld so whatever BS they are it isn't ideal

I mean if you're gonna buy a winch why would you buy anything except the best?

I know there are plenty of smittybilt and HF winches out there but I don't want to gamble when it comes to being stuck especially if wheeling alone

If I'm moving I am good in a tee and basketball shorts in the 20s. Changed a flat earlier and only put on my sweatshirt so I didn't get my shirt dirty :D

When it drops below 55 degrees we plunge into an unholy chaos paralleled only to the apocalypse.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
It's a winter wonderland here. Hooned the taco and the cruiser some more. Cruiser actually does a mean donut, somehow even with the AWD I can get it to pivot a tight circle around the front

Everything’s going great. Gonna move towards that in the future and they pay for all of the schooling etc. Love the work. Got to spend a couple days in a cabin in Vogle State Park in Blairsville Ga. and get to go back for more work.

The new Harbor Freight Apex synthetic 12k winch is intriguing....but I agree I don't want to gamble on the quality of critical recovery equipment. I don't know if I'll drop the coin on Warn but maybe. And I don't want a 12k winch lol

I've heard good things about Engo winches, also Superwinch but I think they got merged with someone else
