I don't have to but I have been wanting to get back into a smaller area for a more laid back speed of life. I am not a city boy by any means

I live 55 mi away from work and 120 mi away from the GF (opposite directions). My eventual plan was to get a job in Colorado Springs and live somewhere where I would be like an hour from her and work, or move to her town and still be an hour from work.

BUT I really love my team and current job and am not ready to leave yet.

    Ouch.

Driving a good distance just takes so much time out of any one person's day and it's mentally exhausting too, I get it.

Hopefully you figure something out though which I'm sure you will.

It's funny, a good job and a significant other can make us put up with some crazy shit. It wasn't until my girl and I decided to be 'apart' that I finally moved but closer to work.

If I didn't work here anymore, I'd probably leave the state at that point.

    Exposure is a real thing.

I always cringe when I hear stories of backpackers getting caught out somewhere only to succumb to the elements and perish.

This one of course was a no brainer; she wore a bikini as an ongoing dare.

i remember just sitting in my truck far off the interstate waiting for the state patrol to stop and crawl through the snow to check on me and give me a lift to the next exit to call for help

Not that I've got snow or any real life threatening weather conditions out here but, I've got an emergency bivvy in my truck. Funny because I was just telling my friend last night to carry at least 2 flashlights in her vehicle.

I carry a small first aid kit, with items I'm familiar with, 2 flares, 2 chem lights, 3 flashlights, misc. recovery items, knife, and other odds and ends in the center storage below the center console.

just because there is 'snow' does not mean its brutally cold!
but it certainly plays a factor

and its more cold out when it is sunny out
    go figure!

That's so fucked up...I've heard stories like this where vegans starve their pets to death on vegetable diets but haven't heard of one involving a person yet (though I'm sure it's happened before).

What's worse is people don't starve overnight, they had to know they were doing something wrong to mess up their kid and just blatantly ignored it or worse yet were aiming for it.

Gonna have to give up their vegan diet now because they'll be getting all kinds of meat in prison

Yeah, my commute used to be 45-60 minutes but it's crept up to 60-75 and I'm feeling that...

Yeah, I don't doubt it. the hard part is knowing that there's no "right" answer and it will take time to figure out... but I wanna know RIGHT NOW
