1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

Yeah I was talking to a chatty local at a diner in Boulder Creek about what it was like to live there and he basically said if you weren't born in the sc mountains then you would always be an outcast lol.

 

What kind of tape should I use between molded mud flaps and paint to keep them from rubbing through the paint?

 

Not sure about the Thule system...but in general I've heard the non-drill racks are sturdy and work well. We arent mounting RTTs to the roofs of 1st gens so they don't have to hold a ton of weight.

 

Yeah the well nuts that I used to mount mine to the roof rattle some and it can drive you crazy until you finally give in and get used to it lol

 

That's the other thing, I would like a more discreet roof bar system now rather than a tall rack like what I have. Makes my truck over 7ft tall

 

My dad used to run the comedy night at the boulder bould brewery... It's a tight knit little place

 

Huh, small world...I wonder if that's the place that closed down recently a few years ago. There was a brewery there we were excited about checking out but it was boarded up.

 

Anyone ever used sunex sockets? Any good? I need to get a decent mid range set for work. Dont wanna spend more then 200$ on a sae/metric set.

It may be, I remember my Dad saying something about that. I have a VHS somewhere or maybe I digitized it, of one of the first comedy nights they did back in like 1993 or 94.

 

Sunex tools are okay, they're pretty average for quality. Can't imagine you're working on anything too tight but you might be working in tight spaces so I'd look for something with tapered or thin walls. I have some DeWalt sockets that are pretty good in that respect.

 

It's not even noon how do you have less than 15%
