If we can somehow convince him to come out, I'll make sure he puts the 4wd conversion to good use. He needs to get something other than pavement under those tires, his photos of Pismo and that one trip to Hollister arent recent enough anymore to save him from mallcrawler status

No fires in national Park land! Outside of Moab in area BFE and some of the little State areas it's ok

I don’t think it’ll be a matter of convincing him, but like me, school will be the thing that gets in the way.

Hollister is way too close for Nor Cal folks not to go.

I post on the regional section and guys are always going during the weekend; I go solo during the week :anonymous:

I wish I could wheel during the week, having the trails mostly to yourself must be awesome.

I'm just picturing his poor engine stalling against the converter as he mashes the gas trying to get a single tire up a ledge. We probably have to sandwich him in between trucks with winches. It goes without saying that if he can't put his bumper and sliders on before the trip he can't go, we need tow points.

It is, and really you only run into 1 or 2 people on a razor or Jeep, but if you get stuck you're fucked for awhile.

I take my maxtrax and shovel, and an ice chest with water...just in case...

@Empty_Lord How many different grey colors are there for the first gen tundra interior?

I needed a new rear seat belt for the passenger side on mine (my cousin had to be cut out of it when she was a kid because it wouldn't unbuckle and she was twisted around in it on a road trip). Bought a new belt that was close enough. But while I was searching I saw 3-4 different grey colors not even getting into tan interiors.
