Just had our 37 week doc appointment yesterday, starting today the baby could technically come at any moment and be 'on time' (though they are predicting the 21st)

Gonna get the car seat situated in her car today so it's ready to go if we have to drop things and go to the hospital

    Cool! Exciting times...

Call CHP or local PD substation and ask about car seat inspections. Free and peace of mind knowing that someone trained/certified in installs squares it away. Especially given that more than half of all seats are installed incorrectly.

How's this for seats... my kid's seat is installed in the middle of the backseat (safest location). Well wife's sister is riding in the back. She goes to buckle her seat and apparently unbuckles my kid's seat. Doesn't bother to say anything at all or try to put it back correctly. So my kid and his seat are unsecured for the rest of the day they are out and about.

From that day forward, whenever someone sits in the back with my kid - I make sure its me or the wife or they are on the opposite side of the buckle. Nobody is going near the buckle side but me.

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
The end of an era. I am soon to be Q less. It was a trouble free 10-year run.

Its not going far, one of my son's buddies has always wanted it. So he bought it this afternoon. I get to free up some drive way space. I'll take the money and continue dumping it into the most recent money pit. Ha!

It does seem like it'd be a fun car to zip around in with the 6 speed...I had a 6 speed manual Scion tC before I got my truck and it was a lot of fun to drive. Not sports car fun of course, but a different experience for sure than a 5 speed Tacoma. But it was a 2 door coupe and with the baby on the way, a 4 door hatchback with similar driving characteristics without having to spend a ton of money, (like the newer hatchback Corolla) is what I think I'm after.
