    I was thinking about getting a roller and putting engine, transmission and so forth in myself.

    If you want to do the extreme you could get it without suspension and axles.

    4WD Conversion, ARB Bumper, OME Suspension
    Just found some damage/gouges on my spindle from when the machine shop improperly pressed in a wheel bearing. Not sure if I want to tear into the driver spindle. I assume they learned from their mistakes after having to buy a new bearing for the passenger spindle.

    I guess I missed it back during the 4WD conversion because the gouges are under the rear seal that meets with the CV. So they were there before the seal but after I took them to the machine shop. Still doesn't change the fact that both my CVJ CV axles don't fit inside the spindles on my flatbed without scraping the brass ring. So I still need to call CVJ tomorrow. And maybe grab a spindle off a 4Runner in the local yard.
