:drool:still can't believe Toyota released a TRD Avalon.....I'm so glad they did. The TRD Avalon and TRD Camry kick ass in the looks department, at least in my lame-o gen x opinion.

Bought that T4R yesterday. Was able to get it for $4800 (asking price was $5500) since it needs the timing belt done and will need suspension after that. Runs great, zero issues other than needing regular maintenance done that I have found so far. I did have to top off engine oil, coolant and power steering right away but I'm not overly concerned about that. I'll send out an oil sample to Blackstone when I change the oil. I don't think the previous owner ever cleaned the interior tho as it had lots of nasty build-up from him driving it for the last 14 years. Got most of that cleaned up already tho. Need to either recover both front seats or get seat covers like I have in the Taco, the driver's seat leather has torn and the stitching is blown out, passenger side is still intact but gross. Overall, I'm very happy with it and the GF really likes it too.

Incredible value bang for your buck. You get a very high quality for very fair price. Hopefully never wrecked or repaired body wise before and all the PM you'll be able to do yourself..... What a way to start the year! :D

No accidents or anything like that. I ran a carfax that came back spotless and checked the VIN on the Toyota site before driving up there. Only thing pending was a recall for installing a Smart Stop Technology chip which I really don't care about.

Thanks! Already started cleaning the interior and getting all the PO grunge out of there. Need to get some leather conditioner for all the door panels and to clean & condition the rear seats. Carpet is pretty much destroyed, PO has kids that grew up with the car so the carpet is really nasty. Also trashed the bug deflector, I hate those things! More cleaning and will gather parts for the t-belt today.

Managed to find one without the pedal chop? Nice.. don’t let them. Just make sure you use proper floor mats and it’s safe

So that Smart Stop chip induces pedal chop? That's kind of what I gathered when reading about it. I didn't want something like that when wheeling this thing so decided I wouldn't worry about that recall.

I rent the Rug Doctor with attachments to clean up after a PO. Also, new carpets are usually available at Rock Auto.

Yeah, I got the vinyl flooring I put in the Taco from Rock, just haven't gotten that far into things yet. Good idea for the Rug Doctor tho, I will give that a try first most likely.

I think you can request the update but not have them cut the pedal. But the update makes it so if you press the gas and brake it’ll put the engine to idle
