I dunno if you guys even have to remove the stock bumper brackets for the ARB...I would imagine so but I think they only get taken off because otherwise they're exposed and look weird.

It's these 2 things on both sides



held on by 3 10mm bolts, driver side is easy but pass side 2 of the bolts are covered by the air box and take some creative fuckery with long extensions and blind placement of the socket

 

I don't see real hardwood anymore. Nice to see people are still doing it.

Our old craftsman home is mostly old hardwood inside, but it's probably as old as the house (~95 years old) and coming apart in places. Had to fill in the gaps over summer with wood putty so we'd stop getting shards of wood in our feet when walking around in socks lol.

 

My first apartment had 50 year old red oak floors. I sanded them down, re-stained and Poly’d them, That gave me a love for solid HW floors.

its the only flooring ive considered when i decide to build... wood everywhere.. except where acoustics matter for my sound system...

 

Too damn expensive to do it in a new build or renovation. Laminate is just as good (or better) in terms of longevity and impact resistance.

If I had a ton of money to spend on a renovation, maybe I'd do it. Otherwise I'd rather invest it in new windows, central air, kitchen appliances, etc.

 

my parents house is all hardwood sans carpet in the bedrooms. and tile in bathrooms. no laminate. cant stand the stuff

 

The soonest Wednesday I could make would be the 29th. Sorry. This month is toasted.

 

Most newer houses are slab built (atleast in my area). The moisture supplied by the concrete prevents the use of real wood.

 

Carpeted Bathrooms is the way to go.

Yeah that's a pretty good excuse to use Laminate. Wonder how OSB subfloors stand up to the moisture.

 

well. id be in a new line of work after that.. nope.

 

until your damn kid comes home drunk for the first time and destroys that carpet. you'll regret not going with tile.
