yep, super cool...hood wants to lift itself when you pull the handle inside the cab lol. Just have to pop the latch with your finger and give it a little push, up it goes.

    Oof.

Similar experience; I had detailed the engine bay in my RX7. Well I had a single turbo setup so the big ass filter was there on the big ass turbo.

I removed the bags and fired it up only to forget the tightly wound bag on the air filter :annoyed:

I shut the car off cause it sputtered immediately and when I went to the engine bay, I saw the filter had collapsed in on itself.

It was a brand new K&N too.

You get to pick how high you want the hood to go up too, depending on where you mount the struts to the hood, which is pretty cool. Can keep it at the stock prop height or go another ~6" higher. The hood eventually hits the cowl under the windshield so of course you don't want it to go that high, but mine stops just before that.

Need to work out the electrical asap - from what I've read you definitely want your connections correct. Nothing special required but done right.

Oh yeah, you'd be surprised how many people I've come across with that in their heads. At most, I go with (hate to say it - @BartMaster1234), simple green. lol.

Might try this... will definitely cover up the MAF but

I use Simple Green diluted 1:1 and use a garden hose. Avoid electrical connectors and cover computer components. Nothing has failed yet. Scrub everything with a soft bristle brush

I think the common place for the 2nd battery in our engine bay (where the ABS module is in ABS trucks) can interfere with installing the hood struts...just FYI. I'm not 100% on that but I remember in the instructions it said that people with dual batteries and other accessory boxes mounted might have to relocate them for the struts to fit.

i keep them on a battery tender.. the panasonics are great batteries. i just cant bring myself to get rid of them.. because with my luck i'd need em.
i also have a prius auxilary battery... its tiny sealed AGM battery.. thought about using it for lights or something.. fuckers small enough i can hide it anywhere

Transition pieces?? Ewwww. :D:rofl:i kid, they have their place.
I'm familiar with transition pieces. Done flooring for 20 years. This customer didn't want transition pieces and was willing to pay extra for me to install. I'm pretty good at flooring. I do a couple floor jobs a year it seems, but pops had a floor covering install business growing up. So I grew up in the biz
