An LKQ in Raleigh put out two double cabs this past week. Really tempting to make the 2 hr drive and see if the parts that fetch $$$ are still there. Probably not so I skipped out on going. If one was a limited I wouldve dropped everything and floored it to Raleigh in hopes that the seats would be there and in good shape.

give me the ammunition and i'll keep alot of them rolling. i just need a supply of frames and trucks that need em. if i have 2 racks and get frames with brake lines and lower control arms the swap would be 2-3 day procedure 1 day if i just went ham for 12-14 hrs.

The pics they put up made the console's look useable. And if the drivers seat trim was there Id take it. But those trucks were probably stripped in a few hours being that they were put out in the middle of the new years sale LKQ was doing.

The Raleigh and Charlotte yards get all the cool stuff. My LKQ is horrible about getting imports in. If you want PT looser parts, its the place to go.

the ones that end up in the yards are usually fucked. they keep most of them because the parts are still desirable enough to be worth them dismantling

If you want Taco parts around here, auto salvage is really the only way. But the prices are insane. My dad needs a new tailgate, as his has a small rust spot on the inside starting to show through the paint. $500 from our local salvage yard.

Use that as a joke and slip a 20 or 50 or something into a piece of paper folded up and try to get them to laugh at it with some self deprecation :D

at that price you may as well buy a new OEM and have it painted for 150 bucks.

you still get the advantage of not having the freezeing temps. that doesnt help with the constant thawing and freezing. my tundra was on the coast most of its life. theres mild surface rust on the welds. and thats it. nothing some paint cant fit
