What's funny is, at my house, the neighbor has asked me from time to time to 'help' him with little things seeing as he's witnessed everything from me doing a big turbo install, to radiators, alternator, and suspension work plenty of times.

Here's the last turbo swap I did -

The old one, you can see it's much smaller -

    20150624_134434_zpsqsejabws.jpg

And then, the uninstall since it made more sense to sell the turbo/bov/etc. off the car when I got rid of it -

They did change the 3rd gen section to "The Dumbgeon" for a minute

Think your idea is pretty good!

That and I think in light of how over sensitive and report-happy 3rd gen members are, IMO the report button should be renamed to the 'I'M TELLING' button

Nah but seriously. Its all cheapo led light installs, plasti-derping panels, and useless clutter for the interior.

I mean the first third gens are almost 5 years old, I was expecting some brakes/plugs etc type stuff by now.

"New" ABS spindle ready to sandblast and paint. I learned that the machine shop employee who did the bad press job got fired 10 years ago from the machine shop my roommate works at. For poor quality work.

If and when I ever look for a third gen to buy, I will specifically seek out a truck that wasnt owned and molested by a TW member haha. Imagine the nightmareish wiring from all those LED's...

My dad had both for a month each while his frame was being replaced. The electronics in the taco were leaps and bounds better than the 4Runner. The T4R's interior feels dated, albeit the leather seats were better. Id get the Taco.

I hate to agree, as we've had both variants traded in (we get maybe 25 3rd gen Tacos to 1 5th gen T4R) but I'd want that 4.0 over the 3.5/Auto combination.

I've driven it and I didn't care for it.

The 4 cylinder in the Tacoma though surprised me for what it is.
