but thanks to TW i now know where all the bad problems start on the inside. So earlier this year i inspected the inside and found a hole bunch of paint chips starting to delaminate and will now continue to plug the factory drain holes and allow whatever fluids get in there to just sit and not drain properly. that is a whole 'nother mess to deal with this spring and summer to properly and thoroughly clean up and internal frame paint and then start the FF process of internal protection

... this is the frustration that i never had knowledge of this before
wish i would've found TW 10 years ago!

What? Maybe I missed it, but why would you plug the drain holes and invite fluid to get in and NOT allow it to drain? I'm sorry, perhaps I just don't get it since I don't live in the rust belt but that just sounds insane.

Looking through my pics I ran across this one of my engine bay I took the other day.

It always struck me as odd that Toyota didnt come up with a more direct or streamlined upper radiator hose for the 3RZ once they ommitted the distributor. Just looks funny.

It only works if you never let anything in in the first place. This is why Toyota sends plug kits with all the new 2nd gen frames.

I've done a mod or two
Take a coat hanger and bend it in the general shape you want, then go to an auto parts store and ask to.look through the formed hoses.

apparently the factory internal frame coating does very little to prevent chemicals from seeping through and eventually peels the paint away from the metal and then things start getting real? i have found paint chips the size of quarters inside being pulled out by a magnet on a stick! I have no idea of where they are coming from until i get the borescope inside to inspect on camera.
since some of these internal delaminated paint chips are the size of quarters i can see how they would easily plug the supplied drain holes after time elapses and any dirt or sand weighting them down.
I have a pic of a wasted junkyard frame with the plugged drain hole if you wish to see it?
