1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

That's nice and everything. but the tundra breaks already feel like ass with any of the master cylinder options available to 1st Gen Tacomas. We need a master cylinder that's viable for these big brakes for this to be really helpful

 

I feel like a new master cylinder would be a must if you slapped those on a 1st gen.

I’m looking at bigger master options. But this is for my tundra (it has the same damn master as my Tacoma though and it’s factory wl calipers

 

That would also mean 4Runner of same generation too? 4Runner mechanically almost a twin of GX460, no?

Yup, light duty Land cruiser. The 4runner is sub light duty Land cruiser status haha

 

Yes but they do share a lot of the same front suspension

 

How hard is the master cylinder to change on these trucks? Whats it like when they start to fail?

 

A gx460 sounds nice on paper. Then you see that American soccer mom car front end...

 

Yeah the Prado 120 platform is similar to taco, fjc, runner, and various ifs hiluxes

 

Master is simple.

Thats gonna be the first thing I change when I try and fix it.
