    I know I know, but their mechanical are terrible and the little electrical they have is by Lucas and it's shit. Don't say you weren't warned lol. I only raise the awareness cause I care. Plenty of forums to get acquainted with them before diving in as well
    People that get into those, do it knowing that and expecting that. Then there is no disappointment because you already know about it. And their forums have all the fixes and tricks and crap.
    I remember on ih8mud tons of members converting from the Discos and Rovers and being absolutely ecstatic with the Toyota quality and reliability. But I have never owned one. Almost did and so grateful I didn't in long run. As long expectations are accurate with reality of what they are, I see no problem. Only an issue when the owner expects a Toyota out of a Rover.

    Of course. I agree. They're about the coolest off road production vehicle you can buy man. I admit that, no problem. Huge cult following

    @Empty_Lord

    So we found yet another vehicle with a tampered fuel line; that makes this 3 Ram 1500's.

    On another note, this was an eco diesel.

    I'm hoping whoever siphoned this one got diesel thinking it was gas (since it's a 1500). Even better if they use that fuel in their own gas powered vehicle only to fuck it up as bad karma

    98 here with me and the ex has the 99, still technically mine but she has it and I'm fine. I intentionally avoided the 2000 and later models because I wanted the rear locker. And I wasnt sure how the ATRAC would end up doing off road. ATRAC replaced the rear locker option. And ATRAC ended up being AWESOME off road. So either or would be good in that aspect. Though 2000 with ATRAC got VSC which many folks like for the safety aspect of when wife drives in inclimate(??did I spell that right? Word check didn't recognize it lol ) weather
    Didn't the LX of 98 and 99 come with Toyota factory LSD in rear diff? What year is yours again?

    Problem is, we don't know when this happened as we only find the issue when the vehicle gets filled up during the time of sale.

    We've got a lot of trucks as a lot of our customers are in the agriculture business.

    The way you spelled it actually makes sense both by how it sounds and the definition, it made me question if I really knew what i was too lol

    Yeah, I'm not trying to just state the obvious but there can be some differences coming from a pickup with 2wd or a transfer case.
    Being permanent all wheel drive means that it gets a center diff instead of a transfer case. And the center diff locks automatically by design when put into low range. Front and rear diffs get equal 50/50 power split.
    I'm not familiar with the limited slip rears on those

    I didn’t realize the government could make something as mundane as Pork Rib sound so unappetizing.

    The 91 Q45 (that I recently sold) has LSD. The 98 Maxima has LSD for the front wheels. LSD alone for the rear differential was a terror to drive on ice. The rear end was constantly trying to fishtail. LSD on a front wheel drive is about one of the coolest things I've driven. It will climb just about anything and you still maintain control.

    I see LSD on the LX as being good for running most trails. We only had one case where we needed to 4-lock on the last trip when we were on the side of a mountain with wet rocks and the 4Runner in front was running street tires and stuck trying to get over some rocks. So we had to back up the side of the mountain with 4-locked over a a bunch of wet rocks to keep from sliding around too much.
