the same way you adjust the headlight normally, by using the alignment screws on the back of the housing

there's not many super high quality housings on the market other than OEM, but you cant throw projectors in those.

I just got the cheapest Ebay assemblies with the mindset that if they get f'd up, I can replace them without destroying my wallet. Also, since you'l be opening them up you can add glue to them to seal them better, which is the main downfall of cheapo assemblies

Nice writeup bro! This is the same writeup almost for my 2007 just different headlight housing. Reason I ask I just got all my stuff in today for my mini H1 retro. I got everything from TRS it's just been a pain in the ass to find a writeup for the mini H1.

How is everything holding up? Any issues with the "cheap" bulbs, ballasts, and harness?

the only problem I've had so far was with my supah cheeep relay harness that came with the supah cheeep HIDs

went wheeling through mud and water and water got inside the wiring of the harness; but after I replaced that there's been no problems and it's almost been 3 years

Does anyone know if this is still an issue with newer kits? I just received a mini H1 kit and the plug on my harness looks like

    Black | Blue
    White

And correct me if I'm wrong, but that plug is only used on one light, correct? And you just leave the passenger side unplugged?

it doesnt look like the problems were localized to one set of projectors, kind of randomly hit or miss (99% of the installed kits ive heard about havent had this problem though)

and you're right on the plug. Power comes from the battery so that one plug is basically just an on/off and hi/lo switch

Mine didn't come with those either- do you have a socket set? 1st gens don't have the fitting for a screwdriver, gotta use a small socket wrench
