If you have the butyl headlights itll be easy haha the first set I ordered was permasealed also I had to grind the knob down on my aligning ring in order for them to be straight.. its pretty straight forward though!

My headlight covers are starting to peel from all the sun here, might be swapping my projectors into another housing

Left mine chrome at first and just let the black from the shrouds reflect the black but I like the whole thing black a lot better

 

I just put in my D2S kit, and it seems that the Drivers side projector is brighter than the Passenger side. Anyone have any suggestions of what to do to fix it?

 

brighter? how so?

Might be the bulbs more than the projectors

 

One looks perfectly fine, and the other has like a slant to it. Ill try to post some pics.

 

The one on the right is the wierd one.

 

have you tried cycling the hi/lo switch on them? kinda looks like one is stuck

 

On highs they both get brighter tho. I can take pictures of the highs also. Do you think taking my bulb out and putting it back in may help?

 

hmm. cant hurt. have you adjusted your headlight assemblies too?

 

I havent. How would it help the dimmer light?

 

The driver side on my minis is dimmer than the passenger side. But they both sit perfectly level.

 

Im scared that the cops will eat me up tho. Thats my only thing. Id like to fix it tho. Im gonna try to fix it hopefully tommorow.

 

it wouldn't necessarily, but it kinda looks like the passy side is a lot lower than the drivers

I'd try switch the bulbs over, then the ballasts- to see if it is the bulbs and stuff itself. After that, I'd try hit up who you got the projectors from (if it's from TRS, theyre pretty helpful when it comes to snags from what I've seen)

 

I called them but they told me itd have to have atleast 20 hours of use to see if its not just getting "broken in". The cops in my town wouls be all over me on something like this. I

 

That's a good idea. I never though of switching ballasts to see if that's my problem too...I'll try that tomorrow I think.
