55w's have problems melting projector parts

35w is all you need; it'd be better to get supplemental lights rather than go to 55w

it's 100% worth it. unless you're doing night wheeling or need extra light for road hazards they'll be all you need. hell, i've even used only these to wheel at night with no problems (not super technical stuff, but stuff nonetheless)

the projector housing and the bulbs are separate, if the bulb goes out it's basically the same as swapping a stock bulb, just take the boot off and remove the light.

    Nice! Thanks Kona

Night wheeling, no, but yes to alot of highway miles at night. I cant stand my dim headlights right now, brights are OK at best.

I had some buyers regret after placing my order but hopefully it all works out well. I might have to get over the looks but it will perform well im sure

im subbing to this. i eventually want to do a retrofit with red halos. im thinking i want to wire the halos to a switch though considering the 5-0 may not appreciate them being on in the front all the time. when you get halos for your retrofits though, are the halos specific to the type of retrofit housing you bought? not really sure how that works. am i just able to stick the right diameter halo on any retrofit housing? would love to see someones install on those...

I went to his ebay and offered him 202.50 for them, he counter offered 215.
They should be on sale 20% from the website.

I did just look into the morimoto website and headlightsquick.com is not on it, so I am awaiting a reply from them.

Well mine came out to $270.00 in the cart and $255.00 in the GB but who knows if they will even get 10 in the GB so this is a backup plan.

Those group buys always seen to pan out. I think I paid 255 for the mini H1 kit with the xb35 bulbs. That included shopping too. I'd buy from TRS based on their customer service alone. I had one bulb that had a wire that was fraying and they sent out a new one free of charge.got it in 2 days. And thats hipping from Georgia to Alaska. Not to shabby if you ask me.

which apollos if you remember? they have the apollos which are circular, and the apollo 2s which have a flat edge or two flat edges to help fit the headlight housing. im curious because i dont want to trim the shrouds if i go with the circular ones. thinking about going with the original gatling guns.

You will have to trim with the original apollo's.

And I'm assuming the original apollos are the same diameter as the gatlings? They are both the regular circular shrouds.

IDK, I would suggest calling TRS to find out the specs. i know they have different diam. halo rings for the diff. diam. shrouds but which ones are which...?? I don't think this info is readily accesible on their site either. Andrew or matt at TRS can deff help you out. In all honesty...I was kinda pretty preturbed when I realized the apollo's wouldn't fit outta the box but then realized...egh, no big deal... I used a dremel and just trimmed a little at a time across the top and bottom. Make sure that the line is level....it's not as bad as you think....really.
