We're slated for a pretty vicious snowstorm here... will be the first time the truck has seen any significant snow! :headbang:

I'm looking forward to see how well it does. After 15 years of owning trucks, my '09 is the first 4X4 I have owned. Anyone familiar with Appalachia knows that snow and these steep hills can create havoc with only a skiff of snow.

We got about 13" of the white stuff here in So. Wisc. last week. I was really impressed how well my Tacoma handled it. I do a lot of rural driving, going to and from work. The roads usually do not see a plow until the snow is done falling. By then there is a lot of accumulation, and with the winds ripping across the cornfields, a lot of drifting.
I got rid of the Rugged Trail tires about 2 weeks after I got the truck, and replaced them with 265/75-16 Goodyear Wrangler Dura-Tracs.

Well, 12 inches of snow later, the drive to work was a breeze. It's night and day between 2wd and 4wd in the snow. Love it!

Some locations in the central Appalachians are pushing 30" of snow with this storm. The northeast coast is next, including a potential blizzard for those on Long Island!

I had a ball last night - excellent performance by the Taco. 4x4 gets you moving no matter what, VSC + 4x4 keeps you waaay in control, pop it in 2hi + kill VSC for super fun times in parking lots and fields.

    Too many to list
Just got home after taking the taco out for the first real drive in snow thats more then 3", and it did really good, no complaints. 4wd makes one hell of a difference, pulled quite a few people out off the roads, there was about 18" when I was out, supposed to get 6-12 more inches tonite, so i will be back out tomorrow!

Drove the snow covered roads in central Pa. with no problems. Have a 09 doublecab. Used the 4 wheel drive to take the wife out Christmas Shopping. The stores were almost empty. Made the wife happy not to have to stand in long lines. The real test for my Tacoma will come this Monday when I'm in the fields setting out decoys in 10 to 14 inches of snow.
