I got 433 miles on the first tank before the low fuel light came on. It took 17.5 gallons to fill the tank. Most of this driving was 14 miles round-trip to my job. Factor in a couple of 1 hour round-trips, and one 2 hour round-trip.

I like how, regarding the low fuel light, the owner's manual reads "Refuel immediately".....gee, at least motorcycle manuals will note how much fuel you have left when you go onto reserve.

If you need an easy way to track your fuel use - www.fuelly.com. Mobile-friendly site so it makes it easy to update your info right after you fill up (if you have a smart phone.)

    My Taco's limited info (I don't drive it very much) - http://www.fuelly.com/driver/0tter/tacoma

Thanx, otter. I have seen those Fuelly logos at the bottom of a number of members' sigs.

I think from tank to tank it will vary, depending on how high it gets filled (among other things). The average over many tanks is most revealing IME.

I've been pleasantly surprised with my overall mileage. (Though apparently I need to do another long highway trip to get 'er back above 25. ;))
