some body asked about towing with the 255's and going into the mtn's well I've been doing both at the same time. It downshifts a little more than usual but other than that it's been great. I don't see a need for a regear yet.

I haven't noticed any difference whatsoever between the old and new sets. Are there any?

i have found a really good deal on a truck cap similar to yours. how does the truck handle it? I have a 3 leaf aal but was told i would probably have to go with an expo leaf pack to handle the cap and especially when i tow a trailer. i tow the trailer as seen above with the heavy assed 4wlr and it doesn't load the springs at all

I love the cap itself. The truck handles it great to the point the girlfriend and I both noticed right away and commented on it. the truck has the stock leafs, from what I can tell. I was looking in to suspension and was speaking with another member, I'll have to look and see if I can find the thread, and he has a cap with AAL and he said after having it for a while he regrets not going with the expo leaf pack. Hope that helps!

I have a leer 180 on my taco with stock 4 leafs. I sit at 23"-3/4 from hub to fender in the back and when I tow my trailer with my Outlandermax in it (approx 800lbs atv) it drops at 23" iirc... I plan to do aal because I would like to have a little more rake but truck is doing just fine with the whole package

If it is possible, considering the deal, I would suggest to get a mid rise cap! Cap that are flush with the top of the truck looks damn good but the extra 2-3 offered by the mid rise is a must! i am 6'2" and when I get in the bed to get my tools I am glad to have the extra head room. Also my snow blower fits and wouldn't in a flush top one.

Why do people put the spacer on the driver side for the taco lean after getting new springs? Shouldn't the new springs level everything back out and I assume are different than oem so shouldn't get the taco lean?

Factory springs are side specific and are supposed to be level, even though many aren't. After market springs are the same on both sides so you have to compensate for the weight difference with a small spacer.

Still on the fence about replacing rear springs. Got the recall done on the rear leafs but I have a set of the tsb leafs. Opinions on swapping to the tsb leafs?
