How do you know when to change the thermostat? My car takes about 10 minutes in the morning for it to warm up and go below 1K rpm. Someone told me I need to change the thermostat. The car runs fine...just takes a while to warm up to below 1K. Is it difficult to change the thermostat? Where is it located and how hard is it to change this? Any write-ups on a thermostat replacement for a 2.7L? thanks

sounds like it is just fine. If the thermostat is stuck closed your truck will overheat easier, if it is stuck open the truck will never heat up.
