I am looking into getting a 2DIN head unit for my tacoma...I have done alot of research but with out being able to use one there is really no way to find which is the best (prog, sound, ease of use)...

What do you have or what would you suggest...I also want to be able to still use the steering wheel controls...Thanks ahead of time for any input...:D

I have the Kenwood DNX8120. I also installed new speakers and amps. I did buy an interface that allows me to use the steering wheel controls.

I read you're from Oregon. I had all my stereo pieces installed at the Gateway Cartoys in Portland. I've had good luck with them.

I went with the Eclipse AVN 6620 (add ons I also got for this deck were the iPod converter and rearview camera). I installed it about a month ago and have been very happy with the unit. The GPS is extreamly accurate (provided its installed right) and it was extreamly simple to bypass the safety feature which is there to stop you from typing into the GPS, messing with your iPod, and watching dvd's while driving. All the various head units have have their + & - so it really comes down to what your base requirements are.

In the end it was a good deal on the eclipse that swayed me in its direction but none the less it is a really great unit.

Does your rear cam come on when you put it into reverse ? Is it the full screen ? Nice work, it looks great ! I want one also that you can use the steering wheel controls, IPOD, nav, rear cam. Thanks

what was your reason for going with the 8120 vs the (I think 7120)? Also, how much did you pay for your 8120?
    I say it for $1399
