im about to order the port tuned 10 inch subwoofer enclosure by *********.com. what is the difference between the 4 ohm and 2 ohm? witch should i order? oh and also is this a good product to buy? i plan on just replacing the head unit and than getting a good amp to power the sub that it comes with.

Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
You have to match the amp's ohm rating to the sub's. You can smoke your amp if you don't.
I don't remember the tradeoffs and quality differances of each ohm rating, sorry.
Carefully consider the way you want to connect and control the amp and head unit.
Don't cheap out. Sound quality, power, and features are pricy.
    Good luck!

    and ohms = resistance

the higher the ohms the higher the resistance. most 10-12" subs are 4ohm until you get into the 15-18" subs then theyre 2 ohm and BTW the symbol for ohms is the omega sign

whats wrong with taco tunes? i just really need some advice. i just want a good sounding system. i listen to mostly rock music but the baselines in sublime and jack johnson. mostly rock though. i am not going to replace any of the speakers in the existing system just changing the head unit and adding a sub and amp. any suggestions?

you listen to jack johnson when driving...i'd be scared i'll fall asleep and crash into a ditch. :D

i'm not saying the set up you choose is good or bad, i'd just buy it from someplace else
